Collectively, the band’s members have nearly a century of experience honing their craft. From smoke-filled saloons to festival stages, UP SOUTH prides itself on playing like their lives depend on it and in a way, they do.

While their individual biographies go back quite further, UP SOUTH’S story begins within the last few years when lead singer Mike Villalva moved to Minnesota from Nashville, TN to be closer to his daughter and pursue music in the great MIDWEST! That’s when Up South was born and hit the music scene like a freight train of FUN!

UP SOUTH puts their all into every show and there’s no way anyone will ever leave one of their shows not knowing just that!
